I love you

It's funny, when you say I love you all the time you can feel like it loses it's value but it's the absolute best way to express that feeling, so it has to suffice. I can't wait till Heaven when language transends mere words and you can feel inside you what is being expressed by another.

When you say I love you, it's like the waves expressing the ocean. Saying I love you is like the waves crashing on the beach. There are thousands of waves that crash on the beach everyday but the ocean is always just as big and just as deep.

Deep Ponderings

This morning this random thought just popped into my head from nowhere, "how did Adam and Eve clip their nails?" And then I thought about it, and thought about it and I couldn't figure it out.

"Did they bite them off? Then what about their toenails? Did they use a sharp rock? But that would leave some painful gashes. Unless the Lord showed them how to fashion a knife right from the start. It would be pretty useful for cutting into watermelons or pomegranates. How did they get into watermelons or pomegranates? Or get the meat out of coconuts for that matter? Yum, coconut.....that sounds good. What should I eat for lunch?" Then I forgot all about Adam & Eve and their fingernails and toenails.

Anyway, there's a peek into the empty space called my head and a small example of one of the mega important things I have to ponder and figure out every day.

Your Eyes

The beauty of innocence balanced with depth of soul.

Cool and calm, yet full of emotion, like a riptide under a still sea of glass.

Like diving in the ocean, you clear my head. Yet always with the risk of getting lost.

Brave, yet apprehensive. Bold, yet unsure.

Knowing my soul, but barely scratching the surface.

You can hold me with those eyes. Don't let me slip.

The Smashed Banana Dream

Saturday night I had the oddest dream. Mike and John came over to our house at 8:30 in the morning to play poker. Apparently the moms had given the dads the day off and the moms were to take the following day off. I thought that was nice.

I was thinking how amazing it was that Mike and John had gotten their Word before 8:30, and thought "wow, they're dedicated, they must have gotten up at the crack of dawn, and on their day off too."

We were playing outside and all of a sudden a little brown dog ran by and Mike said "watch this", grabbed a lasso, jumped into a truck, with John close behind and sped off chasing after this poor dog like they were on a cattle run. They were racing around the property yelling "yee-haw!" The truck looked like a cartoon, bending and curving with the road, while they were trying to lasso this dog.

I had just bought a whole box of bananas that were sitting on the driveway and Mike ran over them. I remember looking at the smashed bananas and wondering how I was going to get reimbursed when someone walked over and said, "don't worry, he's good for it. Although the last guy who did that didn't pay for anything." Like it was a regular occurrence.

And then I woke up. Interpretations anyone?

Recanting

A dark moment erased. Sorry you had to read that folks. Please forgive me. I love you!

FOR GOD'S SAKE, LET'S LOOK AT JESUS! I'M SICK OF YOU & I'M SICKER OF LOOKING AT MYSELF. I'd just as soon bop you over the bean with JESUS! Let's get knocked out on the LORD, huh? It helps make you forget what a damn fool you are & how the hell you feel & you just think life is wonderful--because you're so full of JESUS! It's the TRUTH!
