My intention isn't to glut this blog with poetry, ....blogs like that bore me so I promise this is the last one you'll get in awhile. But the Lord gave me a beautiful analogy about the rain when He spoke to me about something that was hurting, and here's my feeble attempt to put His words into poetry.

The Rain

Take off your clothes
Step into the rain
Throw open your arms
Release all your pain

Give in to the downpour
Thundering from My throne
As it cleanses your spirit
It feels just like home

Lift up your face
Don't hide from the sky
Let the water run down you
Release Heaven's cry

When the rain has been spent
The sun makes it's debut
Clothed in a rainbow,
You're alive and renewed

The Pedestal

I asked you not to do it, but you put me on a pedestal
I've fallen and I lost my crown, is that so unforgivable?
I reached for you, you turned away and held me at a distance
Our flame of love is dying as you put up no resistance

In your mind I was beautiful, courageous and free
Am I still? Or has your dream world careened?
Your imagination soars, it's what I love about you
But was it my downfall? It was so easily skewed

Here are some pictures from a couple weeks back of my first time paintballing. Some of these guys look positively fierce! Even though I came home covered in welts, I had a great time and would love to do it again. The price we pay for fun. I'm also posting pictures of the pool/poker games we played later. I'll have you all know that Mike refused to look at the camera despite all my pleading. Such is life.

This made me laugh. People are hilarious!

I lived such a happy and carefree life before I started up this blog. Now if three days go by and I don't put something up on my blog I feel guilty, and the feeling gets stronger and stronger with every postless day that goes by. I haven't blogged for 2 weeks now and I feel so overwhelmed with guilt, I just have to unburden my heart, which gives me something to blog about and makes me feel better. A good deal all around. I know my loyal readership of maybe 5 people (albiet highly cultured and well read people) feel cheated out of some of the best blogging out there and for that I apologize. Hopefully I won't let you down again, but don't count on it. ;)
